Bullet.gif (846 bytes)  CLASS VISIT FOR HOMESCHOOLERS
Homeschooling parents are invited to come to the library for a “class visit.” Appointment slots are available on weekdays between 1 and 2 p.m. Appointments should be made at least 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Visits can focus on a particular subject or project that you are working on or you may have a general overview of the library’s resources and how to locate materials. Lessons can also be focused on using the library’s computers, the Virtual Reference Collection, InfoTrac, and the Internet. When you phone, tell the children’s librarian that you wish to schedule a Homeschoolers Class Visit.

PERMISSION FORMS FOR INTERNET USE

Dear Parents and/or Guardians,

As you may know, access to the Internet is one of the most popular services the Lindenhurst Memorial Library offers. Many of our Internet users are children. With the best interests of your child in mind, we have developed a new permission form for use of the library’s Internet computers. Beginning July 1, all minors (under 18 years of age) requesting use of a library Internet computer, are required to have a signed permission form on file. Permission forms are available at the Circulation Desk. The minor’s parent or legal guardian must be present to sign the form. No exceptions will be made. Also, beginning July 1, middle school students are required to use the Internet computers in the Children’s Room only. High school students may continue to use the computers in the Adult Reference area.

Thank you for your cooperation.
